1. You must give a three-minute presentation about whether automatic reminders could shorten invoice payment delays. Which opening states the question directly?
- Today I will compare reminder software by purchase price and staff training requirements.
- This presentation asks whether automatic reminders could help customers pay sooner.
- Today I will assess whether customers should receive longer payment terms before reminders start.
- This presentation asks how invoice approval can be completed faster before bills are issued.
Afficher la réponse et l’explication
Réponse : This presentation asks whether automatic reminders could help customers pay sooner.
2. A speaker opens with two minutes of software history in a three-minute talk about choosing a reminder procedure. What change would most improve the opening?
- Briefly state the decision to be discussed and keep only background needed to understand it.
- Start with a detailed comparison of software versions before identifying the procedure to choose.
- State the preferred procedure immediately, reserving the question it answers for the final summary.
- Replace the software history with a catalogue of reminder features before introducing the decision.

Réponse : Briefly state the decision to be discussed and keep only background needed to understand it.
3. Complete the link: “The system sends reminders automatically. ___, it records each response.” The second benefit is additional, not a result of the first.
- Consequently
- Instead
- Nevertheless
- Furthermore

4. A speaker says, “The pilot reduced processing time. Therefore, it required an expensive licence.” The licence cost is a separate drawback, not a consequence of the reduction. Which revision best fixes the logic?
- Replace therefore with consequently.
- Replace therefore with for instance.
- Replace therefore with in other words.
- Replace therefore with however.
Afficher la réponse et l’explication
Réponse : Replace therefore with however.
However oppose l’avantage du pilote à un inconvénient distinct. Consequently conserve le lien causal erroné ; for instance présente le coût comme exemple de baisse du temps ; in other words suggère une reformulation, alors qu’une nouvelle idée est ajoutée.
5. A speaker gives a detailed example, then immediately changes topic without linking it to the claim about clearer responsibilities. What short addition would help?
- This illustrates how assigning an owner prevents the same invoice from being left between two teams.
- The example also raises a separate question about which invoice software should be purchased.
- This example completes the background; I will now introduce the recommendation on responsibilities.
- The case gives useful operational detail, which I will leave the audience to relate to the recommendation.

Réponse : This illustrates how assigning an owner prevents the same invoice from being left between two teams.
Your presentation will cover the problem, the proposed change and its limitations, in that order. Which roadmap matches this structure?
First, I will outline the problem; next, I will assess the proposal; finally, I will discuss its limits.
Write a transition from a completed cost analysis to a discussion of implementation.
Having reviewed the costs, I will now turn to implementation.
Recommend a controlled trial for next month without presenting its outcome as already established.
I recommend a controlled trial next month to assess whether the improvement can be sustained.
